Insurance plays a major role for many of our patients when it comes to their eyecare needs. This may be in the form of coverage for standard examinations, medical diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injury, or extend to eyewear such as various types of eyeglasses or contact lenses.
There are many programs for various needs. Commonly, medical coverage comes under Medicare, United Health Care, and several other major carriers. We participate with many plans, so you should check with your coverage plan to see if we are listed as one of their providers. If we are not on your medical panel, we are offering a prompt pay discount of 20% off of our usual and customary fees if your bill is paid at time of service.
For routine, non-medical services, the major player is Vision Service Plan. We can help you obtain an authorization for your benefits online if we have the necessary information from you. Things go more smoothly if you know your insurance information ahead of time and come prepared.
Our staff will work with you and file claims for the major carriers with whom we are providers. For secondary coverage or non-panel carriers, you will be responsible for payment and filing. For non-covered services, you will be expected to pay for those services when rendered. We accept all major credit and debit cards as payment without additional charges.
